High Tech and Tradition from Bavaria since 1929!
Stopfix-Bremse Schröter & Co. GmbH was founded in 1929 by Hans O. Schröter. The company developed and industrialized numerous parking brakes for cars and commercial vehicles, as well as special applications such as the parking brake for the Drachenfelsbahn in Königswinter am Rhein, which is still in daily use today.
The company has also made a name for itself with brake boosters since the 1960s. For example, the first brake booster was developed for the VW Beetle, which is still offered today as a spare part. Rope hoists for power transmission already rounded off the product range at that time.
At the end of the 90s Stopfix began to offer the first hydraulic brake actuations. Thus the product range was extended by a segment which is still growing strongly today.
In addition to our own developments, for over 15 years we have also been supplying a large number of assemblies that go far beyond the subject of brakes. We benefit from the international network of suppliers that we have built up over decades. In connection with our assembly processes, we thus offer a price-performance ratio that can hardly be surpassed, especially for complex assemblies.
In 2012, the long-planned generation change in management was successfully implemented. The course is thus set for further positive corporate development as a medium-sized family-owned company in the long term.
We are continuously expanding our expertise in the field of brakes to offer our customers state-of-the-art technology and development services.
We continuously optimize our supply chain management in order to expand our competitive edge as a manufacturer of complex assemblies. Because our products are based on a wide variety of technologies. The most common are laser cutting, punching, turning, milling, bending, welding and investment casting. Pipe bending and cable assembly round off the range. The surfaces we supply are similarly versatile. From powder coatings to cathodic dip painting, black, white or yellow galvanizing (based on CrVI or based on CrIII) to (thick-film) passivation.
For our brake actuations, we use hydraulic components and, depending on the application, pressure sensors, pressure switches, brake light switches, proximity sensors or rotary angle encoders from renowned manufacturers.
On the basis of long-term and trusting customer relationships, we continue to develop in order to continuously increase our attractiveness as a supplier. We inspire our customers with our daily performance, our price-performance ratio and our profound know-how. We pursue a zero-defect strategy. We are socially committed and work closely with workshops for the disabled, for example.
